Website Planning, Designing & Implementation
Ethical Enterprise employed us to create a website for their newly formed company. Judith said "I wanted a functional professional looking website which used social networking for a good price. I got all of this and more from Suzanne at Rainbow My Business. She took the time to understand my business and things I liked and didn't like; then just went off and did the work. Brilliant cost effective and hassle free. Thank you." Visit Judith Falla's website at Ethical Enterprise
Artistic Volunteering Support In 2011 I was on the hunt to offer my services to local businesses or charities that needed my skills I've developed over the years. Having set up my own business, I no longer utilise every skill I've mastered, i.e. minute taking, personnel and employment advice and general copy typing and administration.
I registered with Newcastle and Gateshead Initiative who added me to their mailing list sending me monthly links of the volunteering work available. I was drawn to the advert by local art studio, Newcastle & Gateshead Art Studio, NAGAS (known as "Chilli Studios") and applied to support them as Secretary on the Board of Directors.
Kev Meikle, Assistant Manager recently said "Suzanne has joined our organisation; an art based charity working with vulnerable adults, as Secretary on our Board of Trustees. She has, so far, been instrumental in revising many of the formalities around the planning and reporting of Board meetings and has also advised us on aspects of how we promote what we do with a stronger on line presence. She is a valued member of NAGAS".
Beautiful Volunteering Support I am passionate about the national charity Born to be Beautiful and continue to support them where possible.
Sarah Glover (founder and director) of the Charity is an inspiration to me. Her drive, determination and kind hearted nature has supported me in my business in such a spiritual and humble way. The power of Facebook brought us together after seeing her husband, Phil's posting (whom I went to school with many years ago!) announcing the "birth" of the charity.
Raising cash, having ideas for fund raising, assisting with any tasks or simply chatting with Sarah on the telephone over coffee we have built up a satellite friendship that will grow and grow. With me in the North and Sarah in the South, that hasn't hampered our bond or need to build on our strength to support the charity in its development.
When Sarah emailed me the logo for the charity I was overwhelmed that a butterfly had been chosen. I am drawn to butterflies whether it be on fabric for the home or clothes or simply watching them land on flowers and spread their wings. They have such a beautiful spiritual being and that is the ethos of Born to be Beautiful. To allow growth, flight and beauty to shine on us all.
Sarah commented, "When Suzanne first contacted Born to be Beautiful and asked if she could fund raise and help me in any way we needed it I was surprised and delighted. Suzanne just went out of her comfort zone for girls she had never seen or met because she believes in helping those who cannot help themselves! She is an example to all of us and has been such an encouragement raising funds and awareness for our first trip to Mumbai India. She is a firm friend and advocate of our charity and we look forward to continuing our relationship with her".
Take a moment to read why the charity was formed and how it is transforming lives. Visit Born to be Beautiful for more information and if you can help I would love to hear from you. Suzanne J Lawson, Volunteer
